Couple things:1. You may want to find out what is drwaing the current. It takes alot of patience.Hook up the Ammeter as per instructions.Remove one fuse at a time to see which circuit draws the current so you can troubleshoot.2. If you drive the car everyday, then it is probably fine.If you go somewhere for a long time , disconnect the ground cable from the battery to prevent drain. All you need is a 10-mm wrench or socket.3. I use Solar charger plugged permanently into the cig socket:And YES all BMWs cig socket is “hot” even with key removed from the ignition.The Solar charger has been working great for me for the last 10 years in many diff BMWs I own.
