It will last a full day don’t worry, if you see the battery drain to fast, you will stop using your phone 🙂

I have the z flip 5g and the battery gives me maybe 6 -8 hrs. I was going to trade in for z flip 3 hoping the battery improved but doesn’t seem like it’s the case. So now I’m not sure what to do.

6-8 seems like a good range, but I think I’m gonna miss my note 20 ultra only losing 25% after 3-3½ hours. We shall see. It was $299 with my trade-in lol

The battery life is bad, especially if your on social media or emails a few times a day, I’ve only been up 20mins it’s been charging all night , and it’s already went down by 10 percent , I just got the phone yesterday and it is crap if you have bought the new watch and have to keep your Bluetooth on , I prefer my S20 Fe but if you want the newest phone you should get it based on your own opinion

have had mine for a week and a bit and I have to say the battery is terrible 3 times now its only lasted 3-4 hours

Check for an update. I had to do 2 separate updates to move up from a 3 hour battery life to a whopping 6

I don’t think it’s silly to want your phone to last a singe day without recharging

Even on standby it’s like, -2% an hour or more.

On the original Galaxy Z Flip, the cover screen was only 1.1 inches which was just too small. It meant you couldnt do much on it and it could only display one notification at a time. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G has a screen that is quadruple the size, so it can fit up to 4 notifications on it at once. Thats not all it can do though.

Youll be able to customise what you see on the cover screen by adding widgets that you swipe through to check out the weather, access Samsung Pay, control your music, set your alarms and so much more. It feels surprisingly natural to use, you soon get used to checking your messages from there to save time on opening up the phone.

The large 6.7inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display inside has an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz which makes it feel buttery smooth to scroll and swipe on. Mobile games feel slick and browsing the web feels effortless.

As you would expect from Samsung, the screen looks seriously crisp with bright colours, although because it is so long video doesnt fit neatly onto it horizontally instead leaving you with two black strips on either side of the content. In saying that, for reading articles or shopping, that extra length is really useful.

Display: Sharp Slick And Functional

The Flip 3s main 6.7in 1080 x 2640 folding AMOLED screen is a beaut. Its crisp, with vivid colours and rich blacks everything youd expect from a Samsung display. Its a 120Hz affair too, which means it feels buttery smooth beneath your fingertips, with nary a stutter or hang up to be seen. The narrower 22:9 aspect ratio makes it ideal for black bar-less movies too, which is a boon to regular video-watchers.

On the outside, the smaller outer 1.9in screen is almost twice the size of the original Flips, which is a big improvement. Its now large enough for more comfortable selfies using the main rear cameras, displaying your notifications, controlling music, keeping on top of your fitness stats, and more all without having to flip the main screen open. Its something thats now a genuinely useful addition to proceedings and should serve you well, especially when youre on the move, as the main screen cant easily be opened with one hand.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip : Design

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 doesnt look much different from its predecessors, aside from an expansion of the outer display and a rearranging of the rear cameras around it. Its still a clamshell foldable with two halves rotating around a large, Samsung-branded hinge. Unfolded, its still a very tall and narrow phone, with a 6.7-inch display.

There are some improvements, however. While the phone doesnt fold completely flush, theres less of a gap between sides when its closed, and the protective plastic bumper ringing round the inner flex display is still there, but its thinner, looking more like a guardrail strip than the rounded pontoon layer lining the edge of the Z Flips screen.

The rear cover design has also been changed, from a single-color finish on the Z Flip to a two-toned effect on the Z Flip 3: the bottom two-thirds are a single hue, while the top third is all-black glass, and houses the outer display, with the twin rear cameras aligned vertically next to it. Its a more handsome look this time around, although some of the color options are more appealing than others .

The back is covered in Gorilla Glass Victus , while the screen inside has a glasstic flexible plastic display. • Press and hold the Side key past the model name screen appearing on the screen.
• When SAMSUNG appears on the screen, release the Side key.

• Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
• When Safe mode appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, release the Volume down key.
• While in Safe mode, you can now uninstall apps that are causing a problem.

If you are not experiencing the problem on this mode then its likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

You can then exit out of this mode by restarting your Flip 3.

Exit from Safe Mode

• The device will restart in standard mode and you can resume normal use.

The worlds most affordable folding phone has officially arrived

Most phones are boring. There. We said it. Oh how we miss the pre-smartphone days where the Nokias, Motorolas and Samsungs of the world experimented with crazy form factors. From circular keypads to slide out screens and rotating doohickeys, the Wild West of phone design was, in todays terms, a vibe.

Improvements over its successor include a range of swanky colour finishes, a more robust build , and a larger 1.9in front display for selfies, music controls, notifications and more.

Elsewhere, things have the potential to disappoint. The dual main camera setup and battery capacity is the same as that found on the original Z Flip, and its met with the same design conundrum why would you have a phone thats double the thickness in your pocket when folded, without gaining any extra screen real estate for your trouble?

Because it looks cool, of course.

Is that a good enough reason to buy the Z Flip 3? Its time to find out.

Samsungs focus on fashion with the Galaxy Z flip 3 is the most compelling argument for foldable phones weve seen so far, and one thats easier for many people to use compared to the productivity-focused Z fold 3.

Pushing a big smartphone that can fit into smaller spaces, with a little notification screen to avoid distractions is something few people are likely to disagree with. There are however some issues software, battery life, and the camera that keep the device from feeling like a fully-fledged final product.

While there is undoubtedly a level of compromise that needs to be made for anyone that wants to try something a little bit different, much like the Galaxy Z flip 3 , the South Korean brand feels on more solid ground to deliver what it thinks will be the next generation of smartphones.

Most smartphones look more or less identical. They are often samey slabs of glass that dont really have much to set them apart physically, other than maybe a camera notch here and a curved screen there. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G is definitely not one of those. It looks completely different and I think its a really good looking phone.

When its folded up, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G will fit in the palm of your hand. Unfolded, the phone feels very slender and it looks just like a regular smartphone, so you get the best of both worlds.

Naturally, when you fold it up it does feel quite thick. Measuring 72.2 x 86.4 x 17.1 – 15.9mm, it does add some bulk to your pocket but itll still be small enough to fit into it in the first place. At 183g, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G weighs the same as a regular smartphone which makes it just as comfortable to use and hold.

You can buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G in seven glossy colours including lavender, cream, black and green to name a few. The coloured phones have a two-tone design where the body meets the cover screen.

Not only does it look a bit different but its actually practical as well. The cover screen has some really handy uses and you get everything you’re used to having on your phone from the main screen as well. Im enjoying seeing a shakeup in the phone world now that Samsung has made it feel more plausible.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Review: Battery And Charging

With a 3,300 mAh battery, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 retains the size of the original Flips battery capacity. This is cause for some concern, since the Flips battery life wasnt all that impressive. 3,300 mAh is smaller than other Samsung phones, too, including the regular Galaxy S21 with its 4,000 mAh battery.

We tested the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s battery in both refresh rate modes and neither was a good result. In its adaptive mode, the Flip 3 lasted for just 5 hours and 43 minutes. In the 60Hz mode, it lasted for a slightly better 6 hours. I’ve also heard of other reviewers who got abysmally bad battery life, too. The Flip 3’s poor battery life significantly detracts from the phone overall.

The original Flips battery life lasted for a disappointing 8 hours and 16 minutes. Obviously, theres not a lot of room for a big battery on the Galaxy Z Flip 3, but theres now a larger outer display and a 120Hz refresh rate on the inner one, both of which draw more power than before.

Another letdown with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is the 15W max wired charging. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 supports up to 25W, so I expect charging your Flip will feel slow in comparison. Wireless charging on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 caps out at an even slower 10W.

In our testing, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 recharged from 0% to 22% in 15 minutes, and to 44% in 30 minutes. That’s not bad per se, but the battery is also smaller than many Android phones nowadays.
