Last year was a big design update for the iPhone, with flat sides, 5G, and MagSafe charging. This years models inherit all of that, changing the design in only minor ways. The most obvious one is the notch on the screen. Its slightly smaller, but only horizontally it still pushes down into what youre looking at to the same degree. Apple also didnt do anything with that extra space at the top, meaning you still cant see your battery percentage without pulling down the control center.
The other design change is that the new iPhones are almost imperceptibly heavier and also thicker across the entire body compared to last years models. But the camera bumps on both phones are significantly bigger, which means that 12 Pro cases are not going to fit on the 13 Pro. I think the tradeoffs are worth it for the improved battery life and camera system.

Unlike many Android phones with gently curving displays at the edges, Apple does still have a small bezel around the screen. Its a beautiful phone, and I think its a huge step up from the curved sides weve seen on iPhones from the 6 all the way up through the 11.

What’s The Iphone 14 Pro’s Battery Life
According to the Laptop Mag battery test, which involves the phone web surfing at 150 nits on a mobile network, the iPhone 14 Pro lasted 10 hours and 22 minutes on a T-Mobile eSIM. This runtime is the average of three results we recorded for the iPhone 14 Pro.
A 10-hour runtime isn’t half bad it should last you a whole work day. However, the iPhone 14 Pro failed to outpace its predecessor: the iPhone 13 Pro. The last-gen model managed to last an extra two hours, delivering a jaw-dropping runtime of 12 hours.
It’s no surprise that the iPhone 14 Pro delivered a shorter battery runtime compared to the iPhone 13 Pro. Tips To Extend The Iphone 13’s Battery Life
In the event the iPhone 13’s battery runs out faster than expected, there are a few ways users can extend the battery life. The easiest way is to enable the Low Power Mode. Also, all iPhones have the same settings. They have the same screen brightness and sound volume. And all of them have the same connectivity options turned on.

Leaked Apple Iphone 14 Battery Capacities Raise Some Eyebrows But Iphone 14 Pro Max Battery Life Should Still Be Stellar
A known leaker has got hold of what are supposedly the battery capacities for each of the Apple iPhone 14 models. According to a tweet by ShrimpApplePro , the iPhone 14 will receive a 3,279-mAh battery while the iPhone 14 Max gets a 4,325-mAh cell. A 3,200-mAh unit is apparently headed to the iPhone 14 Pro while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has to settle for a battery with a 4,323-mAh capacity. Obviously, apart from the fact that the data might be fake, the details have raised some eyebrows among followers and commenters, wondering why Apple would even consider fitting the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a lower-capacity battery. For the second year in a row the iPhone features 5G and both of the Pro models, like the non-Pro ones, feature the two core standards in the United States: Sub-6 and mmWave. And like we said last year, 5G at least the one we all want is pretty hard to find. And that goes for most carriers .
So lets break down the types of 5G youll see on the 13 Pro or 13 Pro Max. 5G in the top right corner means youre connected to a likely nationwide Sub-6 network from a carrier. This is standard 5G in a low-band capacity, which is easier to roll out. But it also doesnt deliver on the wild speeds weve been promised. Speeds will be in line with 4G LTE at 200 to 300 Mbps, but the affordance is more bandwidth on a given network.
5G UW is likely the 5G you want, but it can be trickier to find. Its the ultrawide-band mmWave 5G that delivers super-fast speeds, but you need to be in direct line of sight with a cell tower at least, thats what we needed in testing this year and with the iPhone 12 Pro last year. Its a harder network to roll out, and no carrier offers it truly everywhere. In our testing, a building blocking the phone to the tower or walking further down the street resulted in the connection being dropped.
