How to Display Battery Percentage on iPhone 13 Pro Max

Without a doubt, the easiest way to check out your iPhone’s battery percentage is to activate Control Center. Do so by swiping down in the top-right corner of the display, appropriately where the battery icon is. Once you do, you’ll see your battery percentage in all its glory right next to the main battery icon.

At What Battery Health Percentage Should I Replace My Iphone Battery

Your iPhone should retain up to 80 percent of its original battery capacity after 500 complete charge cycles. Once the battery health percentage drops below 80 percent, the amount of charge your battery can hold starts to diminish. However, that doesnt mean you should rush to get a new battery. That number is just for orientation. Theres no one-size-fits-all with this.

For example, an iPhone with 70 or 80 percent of battery health can still stay on for the whole day if youre not watching videos or playing games. It all depends on your usage patterns.

The best time to replace your iPhones battery is the moment you notice the device wont hold a sufficient charge to power you through the day. In other words, if the charge your iPhone holds fails to suit your needs or makes the device unusable, get a new battery.

Replace the battery when the battery life bothers you enough to convince you its necessary to spend the money on a new battery. An 80 percent battery health level should still be enough to get you through the day for most users.

However, at 40 or 50 percent of battery health, things start degrading really rapidly. You will be able to use your iPhone only for a couple of hours after each charge. Once you drop below 40 percent of battery health, its time to get a new battery. Basically, your iPhone becomes pretty much unusable.

Other Ways To See Iphone 13’s Battery Percentage

If that method doesn’t quite cut it, there are two other ways Apple lets users see their iPhone 13’s battery. One alternative is to add the Batteries widget. Press and hold on any app icon/widget already on the home screen. Tap ‘Edit Home Screen’ on the pop-up that appears, tap the ‘+’ icon in the top-left corner, scroll down, and tap ‘Batteries.’ The first Batteries widget shows an iPhone icon with a ring around it, though there’s no actual percentage. Instead, users will want to choose either the second or third option both of which show the iPhone 13’s exact percent. Tap ‘Add Widget’ to automatically add it to the next free spot on the home screen, or press and hold the widget to choose where to place it.

Last but not least, iPhone 13 users can also rely on Siri to tell them their battery percentage. Press and hold the Siri button, ask ‘What’s my battery,’ and Siri shows the exact percentage. Would it be more convenient if Apple just added the battery percentage to the top of the screen without any other steps? Of course. But until that happens, these are the next best options.

Display Battery Percentage On All Iphone Models

After making you wait for more than five years, Apple has finally made it possible to see the amount of battery left on your notched iPhones without having to access the Control Center or Siri. The battery percentage option is now widely available on all iPhones with or without a notch. That means you can easily keep track of the amount of juice left in your iPhone. However, as you can tell from the screenshots above, the implementation is flawed as the battery percentage value is always displayed in a full battery icon. The battery icon no longer shows the battery being depleted when you enable this feature, which is just weird.

Now, once you install iOS 16 on your device, are you going to enable the battery percentage feature on your Face ID-backed iPhone? Let us know in the comments below.

Apple Will Redesign The Battery Percentage Meter With Ios 161

Apparently, Apple has heard the criticism leveled by iPhone users and redesigned the battery percentage icon with iOS 16.1, which is currently in its second developer beta. As the mockups that Johansson posted showed, many people preferred a battery icon that drained, along with the percentage.

And thats exactly what Apple is changing the battery icon to, as you can see in the tweet below posted by Federico Viticci. Instead of just the percentage going down, the battery icon design depletes as well, making it easier to see how full your battery life is.

iOS 16.1 is expected to be released to the general public sometime this year, but if you want it now, .

iOS 16 finally brought back the iPhones battery percentage indicator after a 5-year absence, though it was missing from certain smaller iPhones with Face ID during launch simply because there was not enough space. Thankfully, it has been rectified by Apple and now, all iPhones with a notch or display cutouts have this feature.

Specifically, the release of iOS 16.1 added support for showing battery percentage icons for the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. Essentially, iPhone users now have the option to show the current battery percentage of their device within the battery icon on the status bar of their device.

Previously, the battery icon on the status bar would only show colours corresponding to the battery level, with users having to pull down from the status bar to actually see the current battery percentage. In order to turn on the feature, users only need to go to Settings, select Battery and turn on the Battery Percentage option.

Iphone 13 Pro Max Review: Video And Cinematic Mode

    • Cinematic mode steals the show with automatic focus and bokeh
    • ProRes support for more creative control

The Cinematic video mode on the iPhone 13 Pro Max is so good that youll feel like a mini Spielberg. Thats certainly how I felt after shooting several clips that apply a bokeh effect to your footage and automatically switch the focus to multiple subjects depending on whats going on in the frame.

In one video I recorded of a German Shepherd and Shepherd-Rottweiler mix, I appreciated how the iPhone 13 Pro Max automatically blurred out the dog in the background, resulting in a sense of depth, and I could change the focus point on the fly just by pressing on the display.

I also had fun with the Cinematic mode by having my son capture me walking along a trail and attempting a layup playing basketball. In both cases, the iPhone 13 Pro Max delivered a convincing bokeh with the video. Check out the video below to see how iPhone 13 cinematic mode works.

Unfortunately, the resolution for Cinematic mode is capped at 1080p across the entire iPhone range, so you cant have portrait mode videos and 4K quality at the same time.

No matter what you shoot, you wont be disappointed in the iPhone 13 Pro Maxs video quality. In this sweeping shot of the Manasquan river, everything from the sky trees and puffy clouds to the rippling water and swaying branches looks DSLR-like. However, I did notice a little noise as I zoomed in at 3x.

What If Your Iphone Cant Get The Feature

That seems almost offensively simple, doesnt it? Unfortunately, not all iPhone owners will find it so easy.

First of all, not all iPhones can install iOS 16. Weve listed the iOS-16 compatible iPhones in a separate article, but the headline news is that the iPhone 7, 6s, and first-gen SE all miss out. You need an iPhone 8 or latter, essentially.

But even some of the phones that can install iOS 16 wont get this specific feature. As we revealed in our story covering the announcement, the battery percentage indicator is not available on the iPhone XR, 11, 12 mini and 13 mini.

In short, you need one of the following phones to get the battery percentage feature:

    • iPhone 14 Pro Max

However, that may be changing. In the first iOS 16.1 beta, Apple has added the battery percentage indicator option to the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 13 mini. Theres no guarantee that itll launch in the general iOS 16.1 release in October, but our fingers are crossed. For now, you can download the iOS 16.1 public beta to test it out.

How to show Battery Percentage on iPhone 10/11/12/13

Whether you have or are getting an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Mini, the default way to check the current battery life is via the tiny battery icon in the top right of the status bar. But that does not accurately depict how much juice is left, not as a specific percentage indicator would. Therefore if you want the exact battery percentage displayed on the home screen, heres how you can enable it.

    • Other options to enable battery percentage on iPhone
    • 1. Use widgets to show battery percentage
    • 2. Ask Siri using a voice command
