Other Ways To See Iphone 13’s Battery Percentage
If that method doesn’t quite cut it, there are two other ways Apple lets users see their iPhone 13’s battery. One alternative is to add the Batteries widget. Press and hold on any app icon/widget already on the home screen. Tap ‘Edit Home Screen’ on the pop-up that appears, tap the ‘+’ icon in the top-left corner, scroll down, and tap ‘Batteries.’ The first Batteries widget shows an iPhone icon with a ring around it, though there’s no actual percentage. Instead, users will want to choose either the second or third option both of which show the iPhone 13’s exact percent. Tap ‘Add Widget’ to automatically add it to the next free spot on the home screen, or press and hold the widget to choose where to place it.
Last but not least, iPhone 13 users can also rely on Siri to tell them their battery percentage. Press and hold the Siri button, ask ‘What’s my battery,’ and Siri shows the exact percentage. Would it be more convenient if Apple just added the battery percentage to the top of the screen without any other steps? Of course. But until that happens, these are the next best options.
How To Find The Battery Percentage In The Iphone Command Centre
This one requires just one step – simply swipe downwards from the top-right of the screen to pull down the control panel there, you’ll find the battery percentage in the top-right corner.
That’s the fastest method, but it does require you to proactively check your battery. Another option is to swipe left-to-right on the Home screen to pull up the Today View. In iOS 14 and above, this view contains various Apple app widgets, including a battery widget that displays the current percentage.
You may need to scroll down to find the battery widget in Today View, but you can tap and hold it, then drag it to the top so that it is more immediately visible.

At What Battery Health Percentage Should I Replace My Iphone Battery
Your iPhone should retain up to 80 percent of its original battery capacity after 500 complete charge cycles. Once the battery health percentage drops below 80 percent, the amount of charge your battery can hold starts to diminish. However, that doesnt mean you should rush to get a new battery. That number is just for orientation. Theres no one-size-fits-all with this.
For example, an iPhone with 70 or 80 percent of battery health can still stay on for the whole day if youre not watching videos or playing games. It all depends on your usage patterns.
The best time to replace your iPhones battery is the moment you notice the device wont hold a sufficient charge to power you through the day. In other words, if the charge your iPhone holds fails to suit your needs or makes the device unusable, get a new battery.
Replace the battery when the battery life bothers you enough to convince you its necessary to spend the money on a new battery. An 80 percent battery health level should still be enough to get you through the day for most users.
However, at 40 or 50 percent of battery health, things start degrading really rapidly. You will be able to use your iPhone only for a couple of hours after each charge. Once you drop below 40 percent of battery health, its time to get a new battery. Basically, your iPhone becomes pretty much unusable.
Understanding Iphone Battery Capacity
With the release of iOS 11.3 in 2018, Apple introduced a new feature that can tell you quite a lot about the capacity and function of your battery: Battery Health. It describes exactly how long your iPhone should last between charge cycles, on a scale of 0% to 100%.Your phones maximum battery capacity goes down over time. New iPhones typically come with a 100% capacity, but charge cycles and potential damage reduce the capacity. As your batterys health declines, so does its ability to deliver maximum performance.
Display Battery Percentage On All Iphone Models
After making you wait for more than five years, Apple has finally made it possible to see the amount of battery left on your notched iPhones without having to access the Control Center or Siri. The battery percentage option is now widely available on all iPhones with or without a notch. That means you can easily keep track of the amount of juice left in your iPhone. However, as you can tell from the screenshots above, the implementation is flawed as the battery percentage value is always displayed in a full battery icon. The battery icon no longer shows the battery being depleted when you enable this feature, which is just weird.
Now, once you install iOS 16 on your device, are you going to enable the battery percentage feature on your Face ID-backed iPhone? Let us know in the comments below.

Step 1: Make sure that Siri is set up.
Step 2: Say, Hey Siri, and then say, Whats my iPhones battery percentage

Activate Low Power Mode
One of your strongest weapons against battery drain is Low Power Mode. With it enabled, your phone only performs the most essential of tasks, so background activities like downloads and mail fetching are disabled. Low Power Mode will automatically kick in when the battery falls below 20%, but you can also activate it manually to keep your phone going for longer.
Head over to Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode and toggle it on. You can also add Low Power Mode to the Control Center under Settings > Control Center. When activated, the battery icon in the top-right corner will turn yellow. Note that this mode will only work if your phone’s battery is below 80%.

What You Need To Know About Adding The Battery Percentage In Iphone 13
The battery percentage will display by default on the main home screen of newer iPhones, but youll have to create a place on the home screen for one of the new iPhone widgets.
The Plus symbol in the top-left corner of the Home screen may be accessed by tapping and holding an empty part of the Home screen, then scroll down until you come across the word Batteries, and select that option.
You have the option of selecting one of three different battery widgets. All three widgets display the percentage, but the bigger widgets will also display the precise percentage of synced devices batteries. Such as your Apple Watch 6 or AirPods, that are still charged.
If the larger option is taking up too much space on your home screen, you can always move it to the left on your Today panel. It is present on all iPhones but give it a shot on your home screen. As were confident youll find it useful if you regularly connect anything to your iPhone. Itll even work with some third-party Bluetooth headphones.
Simply choose your favourite, tap the Add Widget button. Rearrange the applications on your Home screen as needed. And youll have a continual battery % overview without having to swipe or scroll the screen.
Your Battery’s Maximum Capacity
The Battery Health screen includes information on maximum battery capacity and peak performance capability.
Maximum battery capacity measures the device battery capacity relative to when it was new. A battery will have lower capacity as the battery chemically ages which may result in fewer hours of usage between charges. Depending upon the length of time between when the iPhone was made and when it is activated, your battery capacity may show as slightly less than 100%.
A normal battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles when operating under normal conditions. The one-year warranty includes service coverage for a defective battery. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers battery service for a charge. Learn more about charge cycles.
As your battery health degrades, so can its ability to deliver peak performance. The Battery Health screen includes a section for Peak Performance Capability where the following messages may appear.

The news is not that great on the charging front, as the iPhone 13 Pro Max reaches just 50% capacity after 30 minutes using a 20W UBC-C charger, while other phones like the OnePlus 9 Pro and Xiaomi 11T Pro can get to 100% in 30 minutes or less. How To Extend Your Iphones Battery Life And Performance
Apple has tried to extend the battery life of their phones through something called performance throttling, or performance management, which caused some controversy a few years ago. Performance management throttles your phones performance on your behalf to keep the iPhone running and conserve battery. You can turn it off manually, but your iPhones battery will run out very quickly if you do so, since the iPhone will be operating close to its limits.Instead, it makes sense to take these few simple steps that can extend your phones battery life, courtesy of Apple:
Apple Will Redesign The Battery Percentage Meter With Ios 161
Apparently, Apple has heard the criticism leveled by iPhone users and redesigned the battery percentage icon with iOS 16.1, which is currently in its second developer beta. As the mockups that Johansson posted showed, many people preferred a battery icon that drained, along with the percentage.
And that’s exactly what Apple is changing the battery icon to, as you can see in the tweet below posted by Federico Viticci. Instead of just the percentage going down, the battery icon design depletes as well, making it easier to see how full your battery life is.
iOS 16.1 is expected to be released to the general public sometime this year, but if you want it now, .
There we go: Apple has tweaked the design of the battery percentage icon in iOS 16.1 beta 2. It now shows the proper charge level

Fifth Solution: Reset All Settings On Your Iphone To Fix Ios 13 Battery Indicator Bug
The battery indicator bug has been emerging among other post-update problems faced by many iPhone users after installing prior firmware updates. And it then turned out that some of them were able to find solutions by resetting all settings on their respective devices. Having said that, this can also be worth a shot. You dont have to worry about losing important files because this reset doesnt affect them. This will only reset your phone settings and personal preferences to their defaults without deleting personal data and downloaded apps. Just follow these steps if you wish to proceed:
All settings including network settings, Home screen layout, location and privacy settings, keyboard dictionary are reset to their defaults. Apple Pay cards stored on your device will also be removed.
Showing Battery Percentage On Pre
If youve got an iPhone SE or other pre-notch handset, then showing the battery percentage is slightly different againbut considerably easier.
Like the notched iPhones these models always show remaining battery power as an icon at the top right of the Home screen, but they have plenty of space to show it as a number too. Our understanding is that such devices will show the battery percentage by default, but if you cant see it, go to Settings > Battery and tap the Battery Percentage toggle.
Note that this isnt quite the same as the superimposed number thats made possible by the iOS 16 update: it sits next to the battery icon, like in the olden days. But there are certain benefits to having a pre-notch design.
