Enable Low Power Mode

The iPhone 14 Pro’s 3,200 mAh battery took 10 hours and 13 minutes to drain, compared to 9:28 for the regular iPhone 14 and its 3,279 mAh battery.
Now, you might wonder why the iPhone 14 Pro lasted longer than the regular iPhone 14 when they have the same size display and the iPhone 14 Pro has a slightly smaller battery . And I have a couple of theories.
First, the iPhone 14 Pro has a more efficient 4nm A16 Bionic processor, while the iPhone 14 has an older A15 Bionic chip. And the iPhone 14 Pro can dynamically scale its screen refresh rate from 120Hz to 1Hz, while the iPhone 14 stays at 60Hz. Dropping down to 1Hz when the action on the screen is static can squeeze out more battery life.
Turn Off Keyboard Haptics In Ios 16
iOS 16 introduces a neat little trick many people love: support for haptic feedback on your iPhones keyboard. In addition to making sounds, the keyboard now emits a vibration to indicate that youve pressed a key.
But that combo will consume energy. The iPhone has to play sounds and generate vibrations. And Apple has a support document that explicitly warns users that turning on keyboard haptics might affect the battery life of your iPhone.
To improve battery life on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, youll want to turn both the Sound and Haptic off. Go to the same Settings app, head to Sounds & Haptics, and Keyboard Feedback. Thats where youll find toggles for both settings. Make sure you turn both of them off.

Of course, our web surfing test is just one way to measure battery life. And we know that no one is going to surf the web for 10 or 11 hours straight. But this test does give us a way to compare endurance across multiple phones, even if it is a taxing test.
When you’re not surfing the web, the iPhone 12’s Smart Data mode can automatically switch to 4G to help save battery life. But this only kicks in during certain scenarios, such as when you’re streaming music with the screen turned off.

In order for a phone to function properly, the electronics must be able to draw upon instantaneous power from the battery. One attribute that affects this instantaneous power delivery is the batterys impedance. A battery with a high impedance may be unable to provide sufficient power to the system that needs it. A battery’s impedance can increase if a battery has a higher chemical age. A batterys impedance will temporarily increase at a low state of charge and in a cold temperature environment. When coupled with a higher chemical age, the impedance increase will be more significant. These are characteristics of battery chemistry that are common to all lithium-ion batteries in the industry.

It’s understandable that a standard iPhone wouldn’t be on par with a Pro model, but a 60Hz screen has no place in a phone of this price.
The iPhone 14 might be underwhelming and lackluster, as it’s basically the iPhone 13 with a $100 price increase, but the iPhone 14 Plus stands apart thanks to the impressive battery life and larger screen.

Iphone 11 Pro Max Design Big And Heavy But Very Reassuring
The iPhone 11 Pro Max is a big phone. Its weightier than the iPhone XS Max and stands as the heaviest iPhone Apple has ever made. If you want a dainty device this isnt for you, the extra weight is immediately noticeable, even if youre coming from an older Plus or Max phone.
With all that being said, I dont mind it. The added weight gives the device a satisfying heft and it feels reassuring. Apple has strengthened the glass on both the front and back using the new dual-ion exchange, as Apple calls it and made it capable of withstanding being submerged in 4m of water for 30 mins.
Even with this stronger glass, Id still put a case on the 11 Pro Max. The mixture of stainless steel rim and glass give it a delicate feel that I wouldnt be confident of surviving a drop.
Apple has stuck with a familiar design for the 11 Pro series and around the front things look identical to the XS and X. The notch remains, theres no home button and the bezel is perfectly the same size all around.
Flip the phone over the changes are a bit more apparent. Theres a new frosted, matte finish that gives way to a larger camera hump. While I love the new feel of the back even if its marginally slippier than before the camera is housing is certainly an acquired taste.

You might have an Apple Watch on your wrist, and if you do, then you can easily take phone calls and respond to text messages right from your wrist without even having to interact with your iPhone.

Severe battery drain on 16.0.3. Down to 20% with minimal usage by midday. This is new. Restarted, no change. Battery settings show Home / Lock Screen at top of list at 65%.

Iphone 11 Pro Max Battery Life The Endurance King

When it comes to charging the iPhone 14 Pro Max, you have three options: 7.5W Qi, 15W MagSafe and 20W wired charging. Using the latter, the iPhone 14 Pro Max skyrocketed to 21% in 15 minutes and 42% in 30 minutes. This is slightly faster than the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which skyrocketed to 19% in 15 minutes and 40% in 30 minutes.
