To understand why, we need to take a quick trip back to chemistry class
Batteries comprise three things: a cathode, an anode, and an electrolyte. And batteries function by promoting the flow of ions between the cathode and anode through the electrolyte.
Conventional lithium-ion batteries are built on liquid battery chemistry. That is, they comprise a solid cathode and anode, with a liquid electrolyte solution connecting the two.
These batteries have worked wonders for years. But, due to the physical constraints of dealing with a liquid electrolyte, they are now reaching their limit in terms of energy cell density. Which means that if we want our phones, watches, and electric cars to last longer and charge faster, we need fundamentally different batteries.
With solid-state batteries, the name pretty much says it all. Take the liquid electrolyte solution in conventional batteries. Compress it into a solid. Create a small, hyper-compact solid battery that because it has zero wasted space lasts far longer and charges far faster.
Of course, the implications of SSB chemistry are huge.
Technological Breakthroughs Underpin The Quantumscape Stock Bull Thesis
No one ever said that changing the world was easy and changing the world via solid-state batteries is actually proving to be quite difficult for the companies that have attempted to create these forever batteries.
The challenges are primarily two-fold.
First, solid-state batteries are exceptionally expensive to make. Second, they tend to short-circuit because of something called dendrites, which form in the solid electrolyte substance over time.
Our friends at QuantumScape, though, have largely figured out these challenges.
On the cost front, the company has employed an anode-less battery cell design which eliminates anode manufacturing costs, and brings QuantumScapes all-in battery costs to 17% lower than all-in costs for traditional lithium-ion batteries. The company has also developed a streamlined process for sourcing its materials, which should allow for scalable and cost-effective battery manufacturing:
Meanwhile, the companys proprietary design includes a ceramic electrolyte with high dendritic resistance and therefore, QuantumScapes batteries dont have dendrite problems.
In other words, two critical challenges have held back the dream of solid-state batteries from becoming a disruptive reality, and QuantumScape has solved both challenges.
It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out what happens next
Between now and then, QuantumScape will go from a niche, little-talked-about battery development startup to the worlds most powerful battery supplier.

Iron Salt And Water: Safe Readily Available Materials
The big breakthrough for ESS is a long-duration iron flow battery built from readily available materials, said Carmichael Roberts, a co-chair of the investment committee at Breakthrough Energy Ventures.
In a battery, the electrolyte is the chemical medium that connects the two ends of a battery, the anode and the cathode. In ESS’ batteries, the electrolyte is made of iron, salt and water.
“The flow battery is cheaper, safer and has better operational life than conventional lithium-ion storage,” Roberts said.
Making a battery out of iron, salt and water means “there’s no toxicity, the technology we build doesn’t start fires or doesn’t blow up in fire,” said Dresselhuys.
Also, ESS batteries do not have lithium or cobalt, two common elements in batteries that are being impacted by supply chain crunches.
“Both are in potentially short supply globally, and none are produced in the U.S.,” said Jesse Jenkins, an assistant professor at Princeton University who specializes in the energy grid.
“Lithium is less of an issue in the long run, as long as we recycle lithium-ion batteries, but there may be some short-run price increases as production ramps up to match battery demand for EVs,” Jenkins said.
“Cobalt is a bit trickier and has come under fire for some of the supply chain relying on ‘artisanal mines’ in Africa, which employ forced labor, and child labor in some cases, with people digging out cobalt by hand and very, very harsh conditions,” Jenkins said.

The Forever Battery Verdict
After watching Charles Mizrahis Forever Battery presentation, one thing you come away with is that he knows his way around the technology sector. He says that he has been predicting major trends in the sector and has been quite successful at it.
This time, he has shifted his focus onto the battery subsector saying that one company has a solution to the battery conundrum. A move that he believes will boost EV sales by 1,500% or even more in the next 4 years and bring them to the mainstream.
He is right about the fact that scientists are in the process of developing new batteries because they are needed to store energy from renewable sources of power and applications like EVs. The solid-state battery is the one being touted as the future replacement of the Lithium-ion that is widely used.
As of writing this, the solid state batteries are not being mass-produced and it is hard to tell what company or companies will be the frontrunner once that begins. Therefore, take that into consideration if you are going to follow Charles advice.

Emergence Of The Forever Battery
You take the liquid electrolyte solution in conventional batteries and compress it into a solid. That creates a hyper-compact solid battery. And since it has zero wasted space and theoretically infinite energy density, it lasts far longer and charges far faster.
Of course, the implications of solid-state battery chemistry are huge.
Solid-state batteries could be the key to making our phones sustain power for days or charging our smartwatches in seconds. They could allow electric cars to drive for thousands of miles without needing to recharge.
But making solid-state batteries is no small task. Perhaps unsurprisingly, fundamentally changing the worlds battery science is a complex, costly process.
Specifically, adoption of solid-state batteries has been essentially non-existent, despite their theoretical superiority, for two major reasons:
They are exceptionally expensive to make. Thats because of expensive anode costs, a lack of manufacturing scale, and lack of understanding as to what solid electrolyte solutions work best for the battery.
They tend to short-circuit because of something called dendrites. These are basically small cracks that form in the solid electrolyte substance over time, rendering the battery useless.
No one has yet realized how to side-step these obstacles and affordably make effective solid-state batteries en masse

Is The Forever Battery Pitch Legit
The Forever Battery presentation is legit because Charles Mizrahi is a legit investment analyst.
While there have certainly been complaints about his work and that of the Banyan Hill company , that doesnt mean that they are not legit. To be fair, the marketing material and the sales language can be over the top sometimes and Charles does overplay his success in the pitch.
However, if you pay for a service, what Charles promises to deliver is what you get general investment advice. It is up to you to decide whether the advice works for you or not.
The prospect of a new battery is not outlandish because we know of a startup called Solid Power that has been working on a solid-state cell and may be releasing prototypes. The batteries they are making have a lithium-metal anode and a ceramic solid-state electrolyte and are about the size and thickness of a playing card. The electrolyte is sulfide-based, which works for solid-state batteries because of its high conductivity and compatibility with existing manufacturing processes. The company is partnering with auto manufacturers like Ford, BMW, and Hyundai.

Whats Luke Langos $3 Forever Battery Stock

What Is Luke Langos $3 Forever Battery Stock

Luke Lango never reveals the name of the company hes teasing in the presentation. Instead, he details everything in a report titled: The Extraordinary $3 Forever Battery Dynamo.
However, the only way to access that report is to join Innovation Investor for $99, so I decided to see if I could figure it out based on the clues he provides in the presentation.
And based on my research, I believe the stock hes teasing is Ilika plc .
This one took me a while to figure out because the clues Luke provided were pretty vague. At one point, I almost gave up because nothing seemed to match. But I stumbled across Ilika by following the trail, and the more I looked into it, the more convinced I became that this was it.
To explain why I believe its Ilika, Ill share a summary of the main clues Luke Lango shares in the presentation. Then, Ill walk you through why I think its a match.

What first tipped me off about this company was the share price. Out of all the solid-state battery companies I was researching that had a partnership with Toyota, this was the only one trading at around the $3 mark on the OTC market. Specifically, as of writing, its trading for $1.94.
Of course, thats not $3, but it has traded for $3 within the past six months, and it appears as though, since it started trading on the OTC market in 2019, it hasnt traded above $3-something. So my point is, its not entirely unreasonable that hed call it a $3 stock.
